  • Propose a project now and complete it for the following issue

  • Artists must be Minnesota residents between the ages of 12 and 22

  • Artists selected to participate will be paid, with commissions starting at $75

          Applications due: June 7

          Notified by: June 14

There are several ways to get involved...

Youth Voices of Experience Multi-media Digital Magazine

Our quarterly digital magazine feature art in all mediums created by Minnesota youth ages 12 - 22.  The focus of our magazine is about amplifying the voices of youth who have experience with mental health, mental health disorders and/or who have been affected by the education, criminal justice, child welfare or mental health systems.

Propose a project in one of these categories:

  • Visual art in any 2D or 3D mediums

  • An article in written or video format

  • A non-fiction story in written or video format

  • Creative writing such as a short story or poetry in written or video format

  • Creating an original song or spoken word poem

  • Composing music for the soundtrack of the podcast

Safe Guard: Allies Against Bullying Comic Book

Help elementary students learn strategies and concepts to prevent bullying by creating a comic book using the heroes and bullies of our Safe Guard: Allies Against Bullying project. Read more about them here.

We are looking for:

  • Writers who can write a bullying prevention story

  • Comic book artists who can bring a writer's story to life
